Geoscientist - Client Brief

 

The Brief:
As the newly appointed publishing partner for the Geological Society of London we needed to review the overall design of Geoscientist magazine and create recommendations in line with current industry best practise. We were also required to fulfil the advertising requirements in Geoscientist together with its sister publications Quarterly Journal of Engineering and Hydrology, and Petroleum Geoscience.

 

How we met the Brief:
We reworked the entire magazine design from the bottom up with a fresh take on this industry-leading monthly magazine. We introduced bold and sharp typography, clear referencing panels and a strong distinction between news and features, allowing readers to better engage with the editorial and navigate with greater ease. We also streamlined the production process and reduced the print costs dramatically for this client. Century One has reinvigorated advertising sales, selling display, recruitment advertisements, and insert campaigns across all three titles.
