September 2011 - Century One client’s clean-up at TUC Communications Awards
Since 2007 Century One has fared pretty well at the Trades Union “Oscars” but this year we really cleaned-up with our clients winning five of the seven awards at the TUC Communications Awards 2011.
Nautilus Telegraph took home the Best Magazine award and
CWU Voice commended for its accessible layout and engaging content. The Best eCommunications Award for CWU eVoice was awarded for a “smart, slick and snazzy” digital magazine. The judges congratulated the “pushing of current technology to its limits” and the “impressive options for viewing and interacting with content”. CWU also took Best Photo, Best Campaign and Best website.
We have enjoyed great successes with our Trades Union partners at the TUC awards over the years, with
Usdaw’s Arena winning Best Magazine in 2010 for “strong member engagement” proving that “professional design is money well spent”, and in 2007 for a style and format that “breaks the union mould”. CWU have also racked up a number of wins in eCommunications, Campaigns and for their innovative website and CWUTV broadcasts. Top TUC accolades have also been awarded to Prospect, NUT and UNISON over the last five years.
August 2011 - USDAW’s Arena goes digital
Usdaw recently launched the digital edition of the hugely acclaimed
Arena magazine. Packed full of interactive features such as video, audio, slideshows and informative pop-ups and presented in an intuitive and immersive digital environment, this digital innovation is really engaging members in the union’s activities and campaigns.
