The Link - Client Brief

Our primary objective in producing this sector supplement magazine for the CWU was to refresh the overall aesthetic of the magazine, as well as improving accessibility for its mature audience. The Link, the magazine of the CWU’s Retired Members’ Advisory Committee, has a readership of over 20,000 retired members, and ensuring clear readability and yet maintain the design style of the other supplements in the series, was paramount to securing its success.

Through collaboration with CWU in-house editors, Century One reworked the Link in a way that benefits readers and writers alike. Clearly defined fonts, distinctive page styles and succinct content management all contributed to reinvigorating The Link, which highlights topical issues such as pensions and health to its dedicated readers. Century One’s flexible but consistent production management and image sourcing provided a hassle-free solution to the CWU’s tight deadline constraints, without compromising editorial integrity.
